What are the opening times of FTY Lab?

What footwear can I use at the lab?

At FTY Lab it is recommended that you wear trainers or Astroturf trainers. Due to the surface, players will not be allowed to wear plastic moulds, blades or studs at the lab.

Am I required to wear a face covering when I am inside the lab?

No, but you may wear one if you would prefer to.

Where is the FTY Lab?

The FTY Lab is based inside Poole Retail Park in Dorset, United Kingdom. FTY Lab, Unit C1B, Poole Retail Park, Redlands, Dorset, BH12 1DN. There is plenty of parking spaces on site, and the retail park boasts some great shops including the likes of John Lewis Home, Homebase & Boots.


What memberships are available?

Single Membership - £48 per month – Our all-in membership, with unlimited access into the lab!

Dual Membership - £48 per month – Sign up to the dual membership with a friend or family member and enjoy unlimited access into the lab!

Can I cancel my membership at any time?

With the FTY membership schemes, you are not tied down to a contract. This means that you can cancel at any time without any penalties or cancelation fees.

How do I join?

Signing up to one of our membership schemes is very simple!

Either sign up via the ‘Membership’ tab on the FTY website or ask a member of staff at the lab.


How can I pay at the FTY Lab?

FTY Lab is a card only centre.

Unfortunately, we do not have a cash option so please ensure that you bring another method of payment to the centre with you.

All services can be pre-paid for online when booking to reduce queueing time at the centre.


How can I ensure that other players aren’t close to me?

FTY Lab has been working hard to ensure the safety of everyone that enters the lab.

Designated queueing zones will be marked throughout the lab as well as staff being on hand to direct customers around safely.

All facilities in the lab have been spaced out to adhere with the social distancing guidelines and to ensure the safety of all customers and staff.

What do I do if I feel unwell?

If you feel unwell, have symptoms, or have tested positive for coronavirus, please DO NOT attend FTY Lab and follow government regulation on isolating for the minimum period of time. You may attend FTY Lab again once you have self-isolated for the minimum period required and you are feeling well again.

Am I required to wear a face covering when I am inside the lab?

Face coverings are required to be worn when moving around the lab. Once inside an arena, face coverings are not required to be worn.

How busy will FTY Lab be at certain times?

FTY Lab will be busiest during weekday evenings, and weekends.

We are currently running at 50% capacity due to the government restrictions, so to ensure you get the most out of your session we recommend attending at less busy times to reduce waiting time for equipment.


What products are supplied for customer use?

Multiple cleaning stations will be located around FTY Lab equipped with hand sanitizer, paper towels and spray. We ask that all customers clean the equipment after use to help reduce the risk of infection.

What are you doing to keep the equipment and facilities clean?

At FTY Lab, we are working extremely hard to ensure everyone attends the lab is safe.

We deep clean the equipment and facilities at the end of the day so that the lab is fresh and ready for the morning. We have also increased the levels of cleaning throughout the day and ask customers to give us that helping hand by cleaning the equipment after use.


How do I activate the lab equipment?

On arrival, all customers will be handed an FTY wristband that is used to start the training modes on each piece of equipment. FTY Members will be given their own personal wristband to keep when they sign up to the membership scheme.

To start a training mode, simply press the wristband against the LED screen on the master panel and the countdown will begin!

Non-members will be required to hand their wristband back to the reception at the end of their session.

What is the purpose of the wristband?

The wristband will be loaded with your name at reception and will give you the opportunity to get your name up on the leaderboards around the lab!

For FTY Members, the personal wristband will also track your scores set on the equipment and will allow you to keep track of your progress via the website.

How will I know how to use the products?

Each product has a ‘How to play’ plaque which contains all the information you need to know about how the training mode works!

Alternatively, you can also ask a member of staff to explain the training mode for you.

Do I need to bring my own gloves to use the boxing machines?

FTY Lab do not supply boxing gloves due to the coronavirus restrictions. All boxing products can be used without hand wraps and gloves; however, we would advise bringing along your own if possible.

If you do bring along your own gloves to FTY Lab, please do not share them with other players.

Is there parking outside FTY Lab?

There is plenty of free parking outside FTY Lab.

As we are located in a retail park, there will always be somewhere to park outside the venue!

Are there toilets inside the lab?

Yes! We have male, female and disabled toilets on site.

Are there lockers?

Small lockers are available on site, ideal for keeping your phone, wallet or keys safe whilst playing.

Is there somewhere I can get refreshments?

Hydration is very important, especially when working hard at FTY Lab! On site we have a water fountain to refill your bottles, a fridge full of refreshments to purchase, and our very own Fan Lounge area which contains a hot drinks machine.

Please note that the Fan Lounge will currently not be accessible to the public due to the government coronavirus guidelines.
